Caribbean Data Portal: Brengt Caribbean data ontwikkeling binnen handbereik

Very disappointing. Only 6 out of 25 countries compiled. Most of the data is too old to use, and hardly any public access. You can find much better data on IndexMundi. So what’s the point of this? Perhaps IDB should have consulted professional site selection experts to gain an understanding of what datasets are relevant to foreign investment?… See more See less

Caribbean Data Portal: Bringing Caribbean development data to your fingertips
Published on November 11, 2016
The IDB’s interactive data portal CaribbeanEconomics.org presents microeconomic data collected through primary data collection, and macroeconomic data compiled from various public sources. Microeconomic data are presented in clean downloadable files with relevant documentation. Some datasets are limited-access to IDB only. The microdata dashboards provide interactive views into recently collected primary data by the Bank’s Institutions for Development Department (ICS) and the Caribbean Country Department (CCB), focused on the most pressing problems faced by the region. The macro dashboards provide a quick analytic comparison of the region relative to similar economies around the world by providing data visualizations that focus on the Caribbean economies’ overall macro position, their real sector, fiscal performance, and external sectors. New dashboards that showcase the IDB’s latest efforts in the region will be added periodically.
